The progressiva policy of tha directors of ihe Provident Investment and Build* ing Society is being amply justified,.and it is a matter of remark that such a young Institution should so soon havo inspired the confidence which it enjoys. Ihe Directors very wisely invited the publie to apply for shares iii their second series, and the result has been most gratifying, as the number applied for greatly exceeds the number available. The action of the Directors is in keeping with the true spirit in which such institutions should ho worked ; purely and simply to provide a means of suving monoy for the thriftily inclined, and to assist men who aie trying to acquire their own lands.—Advt. 6,9.12.
