He is hopeful of a lat-ga trade in timber being done. He aUo states that there is a good demand at Gap 3 Town for New Zealand poultry, which baars a high reputation for excellence. This trade, with proper attention, could be made to assume large proportions, He further statss that New Zealand butter has secured the reputation of being the best on tho market, At one time it was impossible to persuade merchants to take butter from this colony, but all this has now altered.
