In an interview, Mr Seddon said regarding the coming s ssion that the Gavemment intended to fix a given standard and minimum age at which children should be admitted to the secondary schools. Tee minimum age had not yet been detf rmined upon, bus 'he standard had b en fixed at net lower than the fif h t-taodard. Children who could not pass that btandnd would be excluded from sscon'lary schools He anticipated a long and arduous session, as a great deal of business wou'd be undertaken if an important character.
