SHIPPING CASUALTIES.
I PBB TRESS ASSOCIATION. I Received 10, 10.41 p.m. Sydney, June 10. The steamer St. Louis, which left Noumea on May 28tb, with the ship Admiral Oamille (having 3000 tons of ore aboard) in tow, arrived to-day after an exciting experience, having encountered a succession of gales. Early in the voyage the bumping of tbe ship ,started the towing bits an! on June Ist the tow rope broke. The second rope went tho nex*; day. The weather was so bad they were unab'e to pick up the Camillo till the 4th. Oa the evening of the 7tb, when 80 miles east of ,Sydntjy Heade, another fierce galecom- , polled the OamiUe to let tbe tow go, and the St. Louis came on to Sydney I without the Oamille. The captain intended making sail and working up to [ the.port as soon as the weather moderI ated. The Oamille was being towed to | Sydney for docking, she having been | ashore at Noumea, but her damage* are ! no 1 ; serious. The crew of the St. Louis had a rough time, two being slightly injured,
