FOREST FIRES.
Per Press Association. Received 9,1012 p.m. ' New York, June 9. The showers which have fallen have diminished the danger from the forest fires in Canada, which are now confined to three counties bordering S\ Lawrence. Many women heroically aided in fighting the flames. Several towns were completely isolated for days owing to suspension of traffic on the railways, and the destruction of the telegraph lines.
