SHIPPING CASUALTIES.
Per Press Association. Received 8, 11.2 p.m. Paris, June 3. The Traissiet Company's steamers Insolaire and Libin collided off Marseilles. There wera 240 passengers and crew on the Liban, and it is feared only 40 were saved. The Liban was a vessel of 3000 tons. She sank in ten minutes, bow foremost. Wild disorder prevailed amongst the passengers, the vessel disappearing amidst wild shrieking. Received 9, 0.32 am. / _ Paws, June 8. A sailor who was a pissenger by the Libro attributes the collision to the inefficiency of the Liban's captain. The weather was calm at the time of the disaster. There was oaly time to lower oneboat.
