j The progressive polioy of the directors of the Provident Investment and Building Society is being amply justified, and it is a matter of remark that suob a young Institution should bo soon have inspired the confidencs which it enjoys. Ihe Directors very wisely invitod the publie to apply for shares in their second series, and the result has been most gratifying, aa the number applied for greatly exceeds the number available. The action of the Directors is in keeping with the truo spirit in which such institutions should be worked ; purely and simply to provide a means of saving money for tha thriftily incliaed, and to assist men who aie try ins to acquire their own lands.—Advt. 6,9,12.
