PKS PBESB ASSOCIATION. London, May 28. The Westminster Gazette says thai Mr Seddon's scheme is a striking advertisement for New Zealand mutton. Possibly he reckons without the meat ring?, and he may find that two can play the same game—secure vast business by sacrificing their profit. Beceived 29,10.28 p m. London, May 29. The Hon. W. P. Reeves, interviewed as to Mr S.ddon's scheme, said it would be a systematic advertisement when carried cut in a complete way, and ought to' benefit the honest private dealers. It was intended to wage a war on the selling of River Plate meat as New Zealand. The Mac Chester Dis'rict Meat Retailers Association has resolved that if Mr Seddon persists in his trade scheme the Association will discontinue dealing in New Z aland meat. The Glasgow dealers depreca'.e the scheme. Wellington, May 29. Mr Srildon says, with reference to this morning's c. message, that the Government is now only waiting for Parliament sanctioning the necessary appropriation prior to entering into th-t wcrk of distributing frozen meat in Enghnd. This step was recommended by the P.-oduce Commissioner whilst he, Mr Seddon, was in London. He had recently spoken about the matter in his speeches at different places, and whe-n the Daily Express telegraphed to eim to know whether it was time to act he said it was. Mr Cameron was now en his way to the colony, and on his arrival he will give evidence upon the subject btfore a Parliamentary Cornmi tee.
