He denied SirE. Buton'i stitement that the Opposition was ir league with those who desired to bring in cheep labour. He disclaimed an) intention to again rip open the whole tariff. All he desired was to reduce the excessively high duties which de 3' troyed the revenue. He could not however, promise not to interfere with the tariff for a few years, as Eueh a promise would place him in a false position. Sydney, May 26.
