P3R PRESS ASSOCIATION. Received 20, 0.45 a.m. Par s, May 21. In the Chamber i.f Deputies, M. Combes justified the prohibition of preaching by members of suppressed preaching orders. They were entitled to secularize and obtaia the same rights as other priests, but the secularization must be effective and regular. A Rad oil proposal to separate Church and State was nfgatived by 278 to 247, and a motion of confidence in Mr Combes cm-i d by 313 to 237.
