Dialing with the perjury case in tha Supreaie Court, the Oturf Justice said —"I do nob ordinarily grant probatigr in perjury cases bfcauae I think it o«ic of the worst of crime 3, and one which tends to destroy the foundation ol justice. If people are allowed to give false testimony, no one can say what might ba done; it might destroy altogether the foundation of the administration of justice, wi.ich, »f era'l/is the basis of every civilised community,."
