The Kaukapakapa electors petitioned for the annulment of the Kaipara licensing committee election on the grounds that no polling booth was opened in their district. Mr Hu'chisoii, S.M,, gave judgment to-day deciding ia favour of the peti tioners. There were 48 votes between the lowest successful candidate ani the highest unsuccessful one, and at least 58 electors were prevented from voting, This might have altered the st.i'e of the poll and was theref ire as irregularity such as defeated the fairness of the election.
