. MB PBISS ASSOCIATION. ' Cap* Town, May 8. An unofficial poll shows that the TiTatal Parliament is practically unanimous in favour of a preferential tariff with Britain. A Urge majority of the Cape Parliament is against it. London, May 8. The Transvaal loan is payable in instalments extending to December. The discount for immediate payment reduces the price to £9B 18s 81. Over three hundred millions have been subscribed, and the loan will probably close td-morrow. Received 10. 5.2 p.m. London, May 9. The Transvaal loan is covered thirtyfold, French financiers ooveriog it once. There were two tons weight cf Britifh provincial applications.
