THE PARKER FUND.

A. mcnsa of the Committee appointed in connection with "The Parker Fond" c was held in the Council Chambers on £ Tuesday afternoon, for the purpose of arranging for the disposal of the Fund, ajbe Mayor (Mr £. Dockrill) being in toe chair. There were also present j Messrs McDiarmid, J. Patorvj] liesdames Dcckrill, Ryan, and F.l< Kchardsand the Town Clerk'( Sir F. M T. Bellringer.) i . The Treasurer (Mr McDiarmid) atated that the total amount subscribed, including amounts receipted, was £249 Is sd, the actual cash received , amounting to £244 18a. After -discussion it was resolved that the Mayor, Messrs McDiarmid and Paton, and the Captain of the Fire • Brigade be a committee to arrange for the appoint met, t of trustees for the Fund; That the Fund be entirely for the benefit of the children, and be paid to Mrs Parker in inetalments cf £2 lOi ' per month; That there be two trustees ; That in the event of one trustee dying or leaving the district the Mayor of the Borough for the time bting be empowered to appoint a new trustee, and that should the committee be unable to arrange for the appointment of. local trustees, the money be placed in the hands of the Public Txnates to distribute. •
