ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
[ PUB PBEBS ASSOCIATION. . Chbistchurch, May 3. James Hardirge, 55 years of age, dropped dead in the bar of the Royal Hotel on Friday night. Evidence at 'he inquest showed he had only one glass of beer. A verdict of death from heart disease was returned. Wellington, May 3. The body of Leonard Cross, second officer of the barque Castle Holme, who was drowned in the harbour recently, was found floating this morning near { Tho: ndon Esplanade.
