VETERANS' ASSOCIATION.
A GBKBRiL meeting of the above Association was held at the Town Hall on Saturday afternoon, Captain Mece (vice-president) being in the chair. There was not a very large attendance, tnly 15 ont of some'4oo and 500 veterans in the district putting in an appearance. It was rrsolved that owiog to the .email attendance it is undesirable to attempt any demonstration on Waterloo Day. It was further decided that a circular b» addressed to each veteran in Taranaki inviting his membership, and requesting him to attend'a meeting of the Assoeia'iou to be held in the Borough Council Chambers, New Plymouth, on Saturday, 4 h July, wi h a - view to making the Association of such 1" numerical strepgth es will bs a mdit to the district. j I It was also resolved to place onj J. v neord *tha Association's r?gret at the j ? lon sustained by the death of Mr F.
