CONSUMPTION. Iff a fearful disease. It earriss ofi mora persons erery je»r than any other ailment. During the South African War more died from consumption alone than from all the causes of the war. And all these cases of consumption commenoed with a cold. An ordinary, eommon. erery-day cold. The oolds that hundreds of people think are not worth bothering abont. The colds that lead on from stage to stage on til the final and incurable stage is reaohed. That stage is death. There is another side. The side where people are well to-day. At the start of a cold they took Lane's Emulsion. The Great Lung Healer and Body Builder. It eased the cough, healed the inflamed parts, stopped the phlegm, assisted digestion, kept up bodily strength, and in a short time the sufferer was strong and well as ever. "I can honestly testify to the euratiye properties of Lane's Emulsion. I am a baker and when a baker gets a bad cold it is a bad one, A rery serere cold settled on my lungs, and the coughing gare me a terrible time. I could hardly sleep at night.' I got so weak during the day time that I had to leave off waik. I started on a course ol Lane's Emulsion, and it did me a world of good. My longs are now aa sound as a bell."—J. Mies Lorimer, from Stoke, commenced duty as assistant teacher on July 7tb, 1902. TKe roll namber at the end of March, 1902, was 119, and the average attendance for that quarter was 105. Tbe. roll numbet is now 139, and the average daily 'attendance 112.5. This attendance we consider very good, but we understand the average would have been much higher had it not been that many children were absent duiing a part of the quarter on account of influenza. Had the avsraie aVe&danco been 120 instead of 112, the schcol would have been entitled to another assistant, so that at tbe prefect time the taachiE£ staff has quite enough to de. Tbe balance-sheet stowed a credit balance of £6 17s 7d. The report and balance sheet were adopted, after which a Committee was formed, composed of the following gentlemen Messrs J. L. Harwood, C. S.
