ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
FIB PBBSB ASSOCIATION. Eltham, April 23. A young man named Fied N«-w.ll met with an accident in a gravel pit at the Waiongongora River today, through a fall of earth. He sustained a broken arm, and concussion to the spine. The sufftrer was removed to the New Plymouth Hospital. Auckland, April 23. A fatal tramway accident occurred to-day. Arthur Jackson, a school teacher, not noticing the approach of a tram in Kyber Pass was knocked down and so severely injured that be died on the way to the hospital. A child named Jas. Bevan was accidentally killed at Eden Terraca today, being run over by a milk cair. Two boys who were driving the cart did not notice the child. - A tram conductor while fixing the trolley wire fell cfi the top of the car and sufiered concussion of the brain. He was unconscious for fiv<j hours, and his condition is serious.
