PLAGUED RATS IN BANANAS.
PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. Received 24, 1.15 a.m. Brisbane, April 23. A sensational discovt ry was made by the Health authorities fo-day. A shipment of 150 crates of bananas from Townsville was found to contain a number of «dead rata. One of cL. se w&s examined and found to ba infecte 1 with the plague. All the cons'gnrmnt was ordered to be destroyed.
