This Puoiho Native School was formerly opened yesterday, in the presence of a large attendance of Natives and Europeans representative of the wholo coas\ The weitber was far from propitious, raic. falling most of the afternoon. The proceedings took tbe form of a public lunoheoo, in a Urge marquee, pi'ched specially for tbe purpos) (at which Mr Greenway prided) followed by the opening ceremony in the scho<'l, during which Archdeacon Oole, Messrs Smith and Jeunings, M'a.H A., IWe. Bennett, White, Young aud others delivered interesting address-s. The proceedings were highly interesting, a full report of which is unfortunately crowded ou* of this issue, but will appear on Friday mov ing.
