OBITUARY.
MR W. UOLLIS. The news of the death of Mr W. Oollis, whiah was received on Tuesday, will be heard with regret by the large circle of frieuds here. Mr and Mrs Oollis 1« ft New Plymouth some mouths ago to reside at Cambridge, where Mr Oollis had several slight strokes of paralysis. In the hope tha 1 ; the change would have a good effect he was removed to Te Arohi, two or threi weeks ago, but the strokes continued, gradually increasing in str. i.gth, and terminating fatally on Tuesday morning, The deceased, who was in his 79 h year, was a resident of New Plymouth from 1870 until he left for Cambridge recently. For several yetrs ha conducted a Wesleyan day school until the State schools were established, when he filled several appointments under the Board of Education. His family will have the sympa hy of a large circle of friends. The interment takes pUoe at Cambridge West to-day.
