REPLY TO ADDRESS H.S. Per Presa Association. Received 6, 10.38 p.m. Lisbon, April 6. King Edward everywhere received an ovation. In reply to an address signed by 500 British residents at Lisbon, and another British address from Oporto, ihe said he rejoiced that thoy alto participated in thewelflrno accrrded to him, which afforded himself and the world a striking proof cf tbe friendship and alliance whereto in the interests of peace and civilisation it was impossible to attach too high a value or iroporrance. He hoped their friendly relations with one of the greatest colonial j powers the world had eeen would con-fribu-e materially to the development of tho commerce and progre.s d both i'jui ries.
