Hamilton (Greymouttj) 2. Time, lmin 5 3 ssec. Won by two yards, the tims constituting a fr<sh New Zealand record, boating M. Champion's btst by 2-saec. Plunge: J. M. Hamilton 1, P. Roberts (Wellington) 2. Distance 501 feet 11 inches. Half-mile: J. M. Hamilton 1, L. Penrose (Christchurcb) 2. Times: Hamilton 13min 34 2-seee; Penrose 14mm 6sec. This constitutes a fresh record for New Zsnltnd, beating M. Champion's best by 42 3-sirc.
