MINISTERS DEFEATED. Received 3,1.6 a.m. Sydsey, April 2. The Tasmanian elections took place to-day, but the only information received here up to the closing of the cable office nas that thr<;e Ministers Sir N. E. Lewis, the premier, Hon. E. Mulcahy, Minister of Works, and Hon B. S. Bird, Treasurer, have been defeated. The expectation was thit the Government would be bidly beaten.
