OXFORD AND CAMBRIDGE BOAT RACE.

The weather conditions for the Uniy Boat Raci were unpropi ious from a spectacular point of view, a steady rain falling throughout the contest. The water was smooth with a little wind. Oxford won the toss, and chose the Surrey side of the river. Cambridge got best away and, maintaining their advantage, shot under Hammersmith Bridge two lengths aheid. At Ohiswick they had increased their lead to four lengths, and from thence the race was a procession, Cambridge winning by six lengths. Time, j 19min. 35sec.
