THE HAWTREY COMEDY COMPANY.
To-moerow night, after an absence of more thin a year, the above company will appear at the Theatre Royal in Burnand's latest London success, ,! The Lady of Ostend," a piece which gives full scope to the talents of a very strong combination. The injured parties in the play are Dolly Whortles (Miss Elsie Austin) and Matilda Oarbury (Miss Emma Bronton), who come out of trying ordeals wi<h uadoubtid triumph. The same remark also applies to Mr Toby Orockitt, an exprizn fighter (Mr O. P. Hammond), who for a time makes things very lively for his unfortunate victims. Miss Winnifred Au-stin, in a girlish part, and Miss Mary Banerof t, in the title role, are said to be admirably suited in their parts, and Misa Torrence, Mr O. P, Heggie, and Mr George Elton, complete a cast which has everywhere been highly praised for its all-round excel-; lence. The play will be preceded by he charming comedietta, " Counsel's Opinion," a phykt, which recently made a great hit in Melbourne. The orchestra will be under the direction of j Mr David Oope. Mr Ronald K> ith is stage manager, and Mr Leonard Davis business manager.
