TURKS ATTACK INSURGENTS. BOMBS THROWN. TURKS* K&VKN9B. Recarnd 2, 0.1 &.M. Sofia, April 1. The Turks attacked a band of 30 at Istib, including a Bulgarian major and lieutenant.

The insurgents barricaded themselves in a boose, and, after ten hours fighting, hurled dynamite bombs amongst the Turks, and escaped during the canfusion. The insurgents lost 25 men in the fight. It is stated the Turk : sh artillery, as a punishment, razed the village of Abalitrhe, near ißtib, to the ground and massacred the Inhabitants.

Despite the denials cf the Consuls the peasants are persuaded to join the Revolutionists by Macedonian committees' lies to the effect tbat Russia is supporting the revolutionary movement.
