QUICK FIRING ARTILLERY.

Per Press Association. London, March 31. In the House of CLmrmes Mr Brodrick stated that the War Office believed it was possible to improve upon the German quick-firing artillery, Thsy were about to manufacture a weapon vastly superior to anything they hid yet produced. Two hundred and twenty guts of tha 4 7 typs had been ordered, and 160 were ready.

There was a scene in the House when Mr Btodrick rebuked the unseemly levity of the c-itic : sms of the fourth pirty, especially those of Lord Hugh O-cil.

The latter accused Mr Bodrickof starving tbe artillery, in order to spend money on the new army c >rps scheme.
