FEB PRESS ABSOOUTKW. Invercaroill, March 30. A fire brokt out on. Saturday evening in the Nightcaps God Company's' mine. The employees, numbating seventy, immediately sot to work to stop up the air courses with sand bigs. Ad engine end fanners for ventila*ing tbe workings stood at the foot of the shaft in wlrch the fire showed end it is supposed that a, spark caused the outbreak. An immense volume of smoke rose from tbe mine, but the manager expects to get the fire under and resume operations in a few days. Meantime, black dimp makes a* survey of the damage impossible.
