It appears the Upolu has net been sold after all. She has resumed her run ing to New Flymen'h, arriving on Sunday morning, from Out edin via Wellington and Nelson. * The kee'-plate -J liie new battleship New Zealand was laid at Portsmouth or. the 25th February. The vessel is practically of the King Edward VII class, hhe will b<? 424 ft long, and will hava a displacement of 16,00 tons. In view of the IToolu resuming her running to New Plymouth, we suggest that she and another vessel of bar class con'd work the Sydney and i unedin trade very easily, and thus give a fottnightly steamer to Sydney and maintain the presint service. If a steamer left Dnnedin and Sydney every ultimate Monday taey could be timed to reich New Plymouth every alternate Saturday or Sunday, leaving on Monday, one for and the other for ' Dunedi". In this way one extra boat would give this valuable addition to our trade. The Upolu has good passenger accommodation and is a roomy cargo baat, and could leave here on Monday and reach Sydney on Friday quite easily.
