RIOT AT TRINIDAD.

MOB FIRED ON. PKR PRESS ASSOCIATION. Received 24,10.49 p.m. New Yoke, March 24. A crowd who were forbidden to enter the Council Chamber at Fort of Spain to pretest against the adoption of tbe Water Bill, atoned the windows and burnt the Government buildings. The police fired on the mob in order to clear a way f«.r the esoort (o the Governor of the Cbui.cil from the building. Several of the mob were killed" and wounded. The Pallas' blut jackets did invaluable work in saving the station, though the mob were still excited and dangerous. The Government buildings were gutted and the police barracks damaged. The Court and other pi iceless records.were destroyed.
