MB PBEBS ASSOCIATION. Stuatfoed, March 24. This morning William Miller Woodhsad, the secretary of the Taranaki Bawmillers'Association, and a prominent man in social and business circles, was charged with the theft of £ls on March 9th from the SawmiuW Association. He was remanded, bail being allowed accused in £260 and two sureties of £260. Counsel for informant stated that further charges involve upwards of £ISOO, al'o charges of delivering an untrue ba'ance-sbest, and of falsifying entries in the books. Bail was forthcoming. An old age pensioner named Robinson was convicted and diEchargd fomakt'ng a false decimation regarding his wife's property. Sre owned sections valued at £320. Robinson got two years' pen-ions in fall, but this year he stated his wife had property, and he was granted £9.
