IN BANKRUPTCY.
RB J. W, ROBERTS, IMGLIWOOD. MBSTING OF OREDITORB. A. meeting of creditors in the above estate was held by the D.0.A., Mr J. S, S. Medley, at his offic3 on Friday. There were present:—Me-sra Wyllie (Wyllie and Stort), R. Oock, Stanley Sbaw (Newton King), Steuart (&euart andOorrigan),Spackinan, C.O. Roberts, H. W. Carstens, H. Olough, E. Vickers (Tickers and Stevens), and George Blyde. Mr Wi'son (Roy and Wilson) was pres-nt on bankrupt's behalf.
The D.O.A. read asta'em-nt of assets and liabilities showing a deficiency of £ll2 9* 2d. He also reid the notes of the private examination, wherein btnkmpt suited he leas d a firm from Mr Blyde at Waitui, and took there 50 head of cattle, which were under bill of pale to Mr N. King. Owing to his wife's illness, and hiving bid luck with the cittle, begot into difficulties, which were aggravated by liabilities incurred by a nun named Charles Williamson. He bad kept no books other than his bank book.
At Mr Vickers' request, Mr Shaw produced the bill of sale. • I-u reply to Mr Dock, biokrup*'. state! that the four cows sold by Mr Dock to him werd bought after the bill of tale was executed.
In r*>ply to Mr Wyllie, bankrupt said chat when he got £SO credit from Wyllio and Scott be could not remember sta'ing thtt he had certain property and had omitted to mention 'hard was it bill of sale over it.
Mr Wyilie: What was your ot in making that statement. Bmkrupt: To heifere. In reply to Mr S <u rr,, bmkrupt ha h*d sold some of the heifers obtained from Stiuart and Oomgao to replace s mi th.t did not como in. Five weie oi the farm now and these hid been got s'nea the bill of sale. Mr Viouers: Are all the cattle on th<s pi tee iaululej in the bill of sale. bankrupt: About 20 head are not in the bill if sale. All Mr King's ! stock are not on the place, only about 15 bjing left, Hud already given the bill of sale when he got the cattle from Vicke s and Stevens. Was indebted to them when he got the £SO credit from Wyilie and StoW.

To Mr dock: Did not help to keep thu Ingley family. Had a small interest iu his brother's farm at Leppertoo, There were eight io the family. Mr. Vickers pointed cut that apparently bankrupt was £SOO worsa off io the 18 months he hid been at Waitui than befoe, although he had been drawing milk cheques all the time. Bankrupt could give no explanation as to that, To Mr Roberts: Had not been a b inkrupt before. To Mr Ooek : Had the right to purchase the land in at £2 12a (5d per acre,
On the motion of Mr OocW, it was riecidad that the D.O.A. sell the stock and equity of redemption by auc ion on [tho ground. Ii was also resolved that a legal opinion bs obtained r.a to the bill of sain. Mr Viok-rs prnpjsed that bankrupt be allowed to keep his furniture, except the piano.—Carried. Bankrupt agreed to milk the cows until the sale.
