There was a good muster of the Guards lass night, and the company was exercised by St.ff Sergeant Major Sandeison, The company was m.dor the command of Captain Cook, Li utenants Holmes and Messeng ir being also on parade. After the parado the shooting prizes' were presented by Captain Cook. The fi*ld glasses presented to the Company by Mr A. Standihh being won and handed to Sergeant Shot; the Taunton Shield to Private McEwan. This Hhield was pieseuied by Adjutant Tauntan, and is held ly the witimr for 12 months, the winnJr also taking a money priz i of £[ Is. Onrparal Oliver and s-ergaiut A, J, Milne, who tied for third place, each received a souvjnir. Captain Cook expressed his pleasure at the inteivs'J I taken in shooting by tha corjs, and stated his intention of giving £'i 3< for prizis for the ensuing beasao. Two new members were elected, the corapiuy being now at its full strength. Colonel Ellis, we undsrstaud, holds £B, which goes to the corpi which taks-s the highest place in the Battalion iu clans firing.
