CORRESPONDENCE.
[Wa do not bold onrseives responsible for opinions expressed by correspondants.] IRONSANP MATTERS. TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—As I have been questioned by many as to the truth of the reports as to tlid fl -atation of a company, and to prevent unwisa speculation until the inatfer is finally tebtled, 1 would say that as yei no company has been fl.a ed. That; as soon as it can be cibiod that the Harbour Bwrd have granted thd extension of time asked for, it is probable that the compmiy will bt) fbated in a few dtys; that neither tbe "rioc A. J. Cidman or myS'jif know, or have any say as to where the woks will bo place'-', as this will ba left to the company's expert, upon his arrival in New Zedand, when ho will ba shown the various ltases held by u->, and that if, is possible that works will be btartcd both at New Plymouth and Parapar.l. That, as before said, whin it is finally settkd whether the, works aie to be at New Plymouth or Pitapat a, or both, I will endeavour 1o publish the fact in both daily pipers,! so that all may rtceive the information I at the s me time. —I am., etc. -D. Be«ry. I
