Company's facilities in Victoria and Quo -nsland considers it a violation jof the Pacific cable conditions and in- , tends to strongly protest against any such arrangement. In the Commons, the PostmasterGeneral, replying to a question by Mr SassooD, said the post office transmit telegrams, where tho routo is not specified, to Australia via the Pacific cable. Ho was not aware of any method for the disposal of eiuh telegrams in the reverse) direction. The Pacific cable and Eastern It do-European were re-! garded as normal routes. j
