It will bo seen that R. L. Webster, of New Plymouth, and who was competing in the Wellington team, carried off three championship events, a performance never hitherto accomplished. Considering that his efforts in the first two events militated against his doing justice in the quarter, and that he was not pushed in the latter race, his pace was most creditable, and equals the existing record of the great Australian sprinter W. T. McPherson.
