RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. Definition of a hack.—A Hack is a horse that has not won, at the time of nomination, a race of the value of LSO, or races of the collective value of L2OO, since tlio Ist of August, 1899. 2. The winner of any flat race, after the declaration of weights, to carry a penalty of 71bs, and of every additional race 51bs extra in all handicap flat events. 3. Entries by telegram must give full particulars of the horse, and must be confirmed in writing at the earliest possible opportunity. 4. Owners, trainers, and others. entering and accepting horses for this meeting are notified that no entries or acceptances will be received unless accompanied by the necessary amount in cash. 5. No entry will be received for any raca except on this condition: That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards, and their decision shall be final. 6. The Stewards reserve the right to alter the time or date for declaration of weights, nominations, or acceptances. 7. The Handieapper may, if he thinks lit, re-handicap any horse winning a race after the declaration of weights. All races to be run under " The New Zealand Rules of Racing." Stakes paid in full.
