POST OFFICE CHANGES.
PU PBB9S ASSOCIATION. Wellington February 28. The following promotions and transfers in the postal service of the colony are announced: —The Ohief Postmast3rghip at Wanganui has been filled by Mr J), Miller, Assistant Inspector of Post Offices, who will be replaced by the piomo'ion of Mr P. Curtis, Postmaster at Lyttelton. The vacancy iu the Lyttelton office will ba filled by Mr Wjllie, Pestmaa'er at Opotiki, whose place will be tiktn by Mr Day of Auckland. Mr J. McKstzie, clerk at Nsw Plymoutb, has retired owiog ti ill health, and the vacancy has b en filled by the promotion of Mr Giller, senior money order and savings back clerk at InverCargill. Mr Egginton, of the Thames cffice will be promoted to the Post mastership at Alexandra South. Mr Cabell, Postmaster at Havelock, will be promoted to the Postmastership at Riverton and will be replaced by Mr Hale, telegraphist on the 81-nbeim staff. The Chief Postmaster at We3tport, Mr T. King, will be promoted to the position of Assistant-Inspector of Post Offices for the Southern district, vice Mr Tippiog, promoted to the Chief Postmastership at Invercargitl. Mr Kiog wi!l foe replaced by the promotion of Mr C. Logie, Postmasti r at Feilding. Mr Jackson, mail clerk in th* Cm istcburch office, hes been promoted to senior mail Clerk at Wanganui.
