BOWLING.

WELLINGTON v. PALMKBBXON. PEE PRESS ASSOCIATION. Wellington, February 25. A series of three games between tbe Wellington team, which won the South Island championship, and tbe Palmerston team, which won the North Island championship, commenced on the Wellington Bjwling Green this morning. The first game was very evenly contested. At the tweutia'.h head Palmerston had a lead or two, and in the last head Falmerston were lying oco when the skips went down. Braken ridge (Wellington)'by a baautiful shot, turned defeat into victory. The team* were: Victoria Bickenridge jar., Gooder, Bell, Bickeoridge senr. (skip). Palmarston Bunting, Nash, Drew, Mowler (skip). The green, which was fairly htavy when play started, was made still heavier by a misty raiu which fell at intervals in the morning, and a porsisently driving rain in tbe afrerneon. The Palm' rston men could not get the measure of the heivy ground. Only two games were played, "Victoria winning both, and thus securing tha championship. In tbe first game Victoria scored 21, Palmerston 20, and in the secand the scores were 34 and 13 respectively. The winners take the silver medds presented by tbe President cf the North Island Bowlirg Association.
