PBR PRESS ASSOCIATION. Wellington, February 11. On Tuesday mornißg, during the passage from Sydney of the Mokoia which arrived to-day, D. Sheehey, a steerage passenger who was travelling with his wife, jumped overboard. A boat was lewered, and after an hour's search the body was found floating face downwards, bat all efforts at resuscitation failed. The body was buried the same afernoon. Napier, February 11. The man Stevens, who yesterday attempted suicide by cutting his throat with a piece of glass, and' was taken to the hospital, to day managed to s< cure a piir of scissors and stabbad himself all over the body, though without touching any vital pirt. He is now under strict surveillance.
