A Southdown ram, bred by the kte Colonel McCalmont, brought; 105 guine s, othirs so'd for 45 guioo-'S ; Southdown ewes brought 20 guineas to 26 guineas; lambs 40 guineas ; a Shropshire ram brought 92 guineas, others sold 21 to 32 guineas. The champion ram at tV Royal Show at Carlisle only elicitei the startling bid of 50 gu : neas. There was no demand for Shropshire ewes, but three Knglish Leicester rams brought 95, 85, !:nd 43 guineas respectively. Two Rye'and rams brought 70 and 71 guineas; four ewes 36 to 39 guineas.
