At three o'clock this morning, a fin was discovered in the hold ef the barque Mnuhrihanisb, berthed at the Railway wharf, and loading woo), eto., for London, She has been awaiting cargo "I" At last November. Tbe lini was extinguished after twe and a-ba)f hours fighting. The Machribanish was under charter to thd New Zealand Shipping Company and had Deirly completed loading. When the brigade arrived, the in to have a good hold, but. closer investigation showed that tbe fitatei came from a b<ap of sail* oa top of the bales of wool, rheaa were hauled out and before l<>ng all danger was arrested.
