MONTGOMERY'S ENTERTAINERS.

Tub popularity of tkis excellent entertainment was well at'eated by. the enthusiasm of the audience at the Thtatre Royal on Monday night when evary it»m presented wii loudly applauded. The animated picture scenes that were- shown . elicited' most hearty appreciation which was thoroughly well merited. All the subjects were well chosen aid included a considerable propertion of humourous and clover scenes. A Tailor's dummy, the marvellous surgied op*rations in an aacient chemists' chop, the lady and the butterfly, Kruger and John Bull, a horrible dream, long shoe dancing, canine feo'balltrs, head balancers extraordinary, a lady contortionist and dog were each the causa of much amusement or wonder, and secured loud applause, while the views of cavalry life, a train ride, and the King and Q ieen riding through London, eich h&d a special interest, and elicited warm approval. Mr. Montgomery, as usual, was a host in himself, each of his illustrated songs being deservedly encored. Uptbing bet'er than his " Day by Day " has he given, and both the soEg and illustrations were perfect. Mr. George Hall proved an immeos? attraction, and the audience seemed ns if they could not have enough of bis humorous songs, which caused roars of laughter. His facial expression is irre Bistable, while his vocalisation is exceptionally distinct and taneful, a rare combination in a comic artist. A representation of " E »bt Lynne" was a feature of the eventrg. Altogether the entertainment was one of the best that tbis company has given. TO-NIGHT. There will be fresh scenes and songs, but" East Lynne " will again be shown. Tbis is a very cleverly worked-up Beiies of living p : oture*, giving the principal situations in the drama which are pithily explained as they appear. The entertainment is one that should attract a full house.
