Ha would adjourn the inquiry until March. Toe hearing of 'he petition against the Local Option Foil at Bruce was commenced at Milton to day. Mr F, R. Chapman, Mr W. A Sin, and Mr O. Hid appeared in support ef the petition. Mr Adams with Mr J. 7, Wood home opposed the petition, and se'. out various irregularities. Mr Ohopmin in opening said the Act might or might not affect the result of a poll, but the poll oould be voided, though suoh effect were not prove), bjvae Aot or Acts had a ten* dency in that- direction, and in the pa'i-ion there were five clauses of Acta, all giveD, which tended to defeat the fairness of the pill. Three of thiae were positive allegations and the other two were quilifnd. Nineteen witnesees were called in support of the pilition when the Court adjourned.
