Lyoe, Mr R-id, and other' Federal members, tigeth°r with a large number of visitors f om Perth. The L flux was so great that many had to sleep ia the trains and tents. Tie town was gaily d-corated, and the -e wag much enthu iasm. Sir Jo'nn and Lady Fjrrfgt's carriage was drawn by twenty-four schoolboys, headed by an imp-sing proces-, sien. The ceremonies of turning on the water fop the various centres were p rformed by Lady Forres* 1 , and the Mayon sses of C solgatdie, Kalgoorlie, and Bould r City, and into the great dim by Sir John F Treat. Water is now everywhere abundant in the townships at 9d per hundred gal'ons, irstead of as previously 3 i 6d and upwards per hundred for condensed.
