ACCLIMATISATION CONFERENCE.

The Conference sat again this afternoon, when the question of netting trout wjb reopened, and a resolution carried pointiug out to the Government that the work of the society in the introduction of trout will, in a very great measure, be destroyed, and one of the greatest attractions to tourists done away with if ne'tioj; is allowed in the Jakes, and at tlie tuoulh of rivers, as in the case of recent operations at L kes Wakatipu and Rotorua, and s'roogly urging upon the Government not to a'low ne ting of any kind except after the fullest consideration, and under.the strictes*. regulitions and supervision, and after consultation with the locil Society.
