OPENING OffiREMONY. MSB PRESS ASSOCIATION. Westport, January 22. The Westport Wat two-ks, costing about £20,000, were officially opened to-day in ths prfaence of several hundred townspeople, Miss Scanlon, sitter of the Mayer, turning on the water. The Mayor, in the cuts? of his speech, said be hoped a public trial of the fire extinguishing apparatus would re u't in the rfduc icn of insurance rates by one half.
