This, of coarse, necessitated putting the fi'es out to enable the necessary repairs to be effected, consequently the steamer did not leave the breakwater until four o'clock on Thursday morning, and arrived at Onehntga at halfpast two o'clock. A new steamship cor pan y has been formed for the Whangarei-Auckland trade, with a capital of £30,000. The name of the company is the Whangarei Co-operative and country.
