It is interesting to know that l>rt Cole was amtmg the first candidate!) of thelat" A'Chbishop Benson (the predecessor of Archbishop Templo) Dr. Cole's varied experience of church work in England, Carada, and Bermuda is sure to be most helpful in his new sphere of labour, which is n " nv "7eTy respenaible one, and affords ampl« opportunity for useful work both in town and country. During his residence in New Zealand Dr. dole's health has wonderfully improved, and his appointment should certainly prove * source of strength to the Taranaki Archdeaconry. He is a graduate both in law and divinity of Trinity University, Toronto, where ha had a distinguished career. He is a forcible, clear, and able preacher, and has created a most favourable impression whenever he has taken services in the Auckland churches.
